13.103 Staffordshire Flat Back Stand. Circa 1850

This Staffordshire flat back stand is a variation on the common model of 3 maidens. HOWEVER it is of better quality in terms of the build and painting than normally found. The female figures are wearing top and dresses crossed with shawls but have been painted differently than commonly found. The stand is topped with a two turtle doves. The central area is the watch holder and this moulded aperture is decorated with hand applied brush strokes in differing colours, patterns and techniques. The stand measures 200mm wide x 65mm deep x 280mm high. The stand is in 95% mint condition
