13.104 Staffordshire Flat Back Stand. Circa 1850


This Staffordshire flat back stand is a common variation however this stand is flanked by two women with a man kneeling in the centre. The female figures are wearing top and dresses crossed with shawls, the shawls having particularly attractive tassles on the ends. The women are embracing the watch holder and aperture. This in turn is surrounded by a garland of flowers. Centre is a kneeling gent with pink trousers, white short, blue jerkin and orange cloak. The oval base has moulded detailing and applied foliage. The stand measures 240mm wide x 70mm deep x 250mm high. The stand is in 90% mint condition one woman has a chip on her chin
