13.29 Ornate Staffordshire Flat Back Pocket Watch Stand. Circa 1840


This Staffordshire flat back pocket watch stand is in the form of a country house with steps leading up to a central door flanked by windows and two incongruously large semi naked females sitting on pillars. The stand does have castellated turrets covered with floral and vine detailing and three upper windows topped with round orange balls. The castle has a central aperture and cup which will hold most fusee pocket watches. The stand measures 65mm x 20mm on the base x 285mm high, The stand is in 75% mint condition a crack on one turret which is reflected in the price
