13.38 Staffordshire Flat Back Stand. Circa 1850


This Staffordshire flat back stand is a variation on the common model of 3 maidens. The female figures are wearing top and dresses crossed with shawls but have been painted differently than commonly found. The stand is topped with a two turtle doves. The central area is the watch holder and this moulded aperture is decorated with hand applied brush strokes in differing colours. The stand measures 200mm wide x 75mm deep x 250mm high. The stand is in 80% mint condition there has been a knock on the edge of the watch holder part which has been repaired see images
