13.61 Brass and Silver Plate ANCHOR Pocket Watch Stand. Circa 1870


This pocket watch stand has a circular flared base made out of silver plate. This supports a pocket watch stand in the form of an anchor made from brass. Wrapped around the anchor is gilt wire work in the form of a rope. At the top there is a hook from which to hang a pocket watch and also one behind to take a watch key or chain. The stand will take most pocket watches but not watches in excess of 65mm wide. The stand is in 90% mint condition the base is tarnished through age
