This is a Silver Swiss pocket watch signed S & Co (Possibly IWC) which has been retailed and sold by J W Benson. The watch has a slide activated quarter repeater function. The movement is signed “S & Co” under a crown in an oval and is also signed “Swiss Made”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – 1 light scratch and some tiny marks

Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The inner case is signed: “Watch Maker by Warrant to the Queen, Examined by J W Benson, 25 Old Bond Street, London, Swiss Made”. The back of the case is decorated with a very ornate scene of two sets of 4 rowers with their cox. The case is also lavishly decorated with ornate carved sides and bow and stem. The case is signed “Huguenin Freres” which is always sign of a quality case. The case is in 90% mint condition – light wear only

Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is in 90% - a little chip right on the edge of the dial by the V, hidden by the bezel. The watch has a mineral glass – some scratches
