8.38 Gold Plated Fancy Watch Chain with Fancy Slide. Circa 1890

This typical Victorian watch chain measures 36cm in length from the T bar to the dog clip. The chain is made up of two strands of mesh link chain with a simple straight bar mount at each end. Keeping them together is a gold plated square slide decorated with bright cut engraving. At the far end is a length of chain with a T bar attached and a short length of two mesh strands, again with bar mounts. From this you would hang a fob etc. The chain is in 75% mint condition there is metal coming through but still a very good chain.
